What is more important to you – Time or Money?

January 24, 2025

Time is clearly more valuable than money! In fact .. you only get on average 4000 weeks!

However, not everyone values time more than money!

Let me tell you a story about a therapist…

This amazing therapist joined our Therapy Business Builder Program in January 2024. But here’s the thing—she didn’t jump in right away.

She was hesitant and skeptical at first. In fact, we started talking about the program way back in August 2023! She wasn’t sure if the investment would be worth it, or if it could really help her.

Even after she joined, she was still skeptical about making some of the recommended changes. She wasn’t sure if stepping back from the day-to-day grind, delegating tasks, setting up systems, and focusing on higher-level CEO work would truly make a difference.

Fast forward to today, and her results speak volumes:

📈 Income Growth: She increased her income by $55,209 between Q1 and Q4—a 98.5% jump!

💰 Profit Growth: Her net profit grew by $27,150, an incredible 220% increase!

📊 Profit Margin: She improved her profit margin from 22% in Q1 to 35% in Q4, showing smarter operations and stronger financial management.

But the most powerful transformation wasn’t about the numbers.

🕒 She Got Her Time Back!

When she started, she was doing everything—seeing clients, managing admin, handling all the details—and burnout was taking over. By the end of the year, she transformed her role entirely, stepping into her position as a CEO and focusing on the high-level tasks that truly matter to her vision and business growth.

And the best part? She told me yesterday that now, with all the time and energy she’s regained, she’s excited to start seeing more clients in 2025—but this time, completely on her own terms!

Oh, and I didn’t even mention—she got rid of the notebook she used to rely on for tracking everything! 📓🚫

Her story proves that even if you feel skeptical—whether at the start or along the way—trusting the process, taking action, and investing in your business can change everything.

When you: ✨ Invest in your business ✨ Prioritize your time ✨ Put the right systems and support in place

… anything is possible! 💪

What Holds Most Therapists Back?

In our Therapy Business Builder program, we work with a diverse group of therapists—whether they’re just starting out or have been running their practice for years. And here’s what we’ve found: the biggest barrier to success is often the therapists themselves.

No matter how hard we try to help, sometimes the results just don’t come. Here’s why:

Many therapists struggle with following through on action plans and recommendations, even when they’re designed for success.

There’s often a hesitance to try something new, even when what they’ve been doing clearly isn’t working.

They may feel they know what’s best for their business and resist implementing proven strategies that have helped countless others thrive.

This resistance to change, this hesitation to take action or try new methods, is exactly what keeps them stuck in a cycle of frustration and stagnation.

Some therapists become so fixated on saving every penny that they end up spending hours searching for alternatives that reinforce their current approach. They fail to realize that this mindset actually costs them more—both in time and missed growth opportunities. You literally can use money to OPTIMIZE YOUR TIME!

Others get so caught up working in their business that they neglect to work on it. They lack financial awareness, leading to unrealistic expectations about growth without laying the proper foundation.

Leadership challenges also arise. Some therapists, in an effort to be “nice,” avoid holding their staff accountable, overpay, or neglect the needs of their business. Without clear boundaries and firm leadership, their business suffers.

The truth is, building a successful business requires:

  • The courage to try new strategies
  • The willingness to invest in growth
  • The discipline to follow through on expert recommendations
  • The ability to focus on the big picture, not just the daily grind

Here’s the catch: No matter how effective the guidance, it won’t work unless you’re truly ready to embrace change. Your mindset and willingness to make the necessary shifts are the first—and most crucial—steps to success.

I know this firsthand. In my first year or so of business, I tried to do everything myself, which clearly didn’t work. Then, even during my first few years of coaching, I still struggled to fully trust the process. Instead of truly listening to my coach and following their advice, I stuck to what I thought was best. And let me tell you, it took me much longer to get where I wanted to go. In the end, I came full circle and ended up doing exactly what my coach had told me to do in the first place.

If you’re ready to break free from these patterns, step into a new mindset, and take your business to the next level, we’re here to help. Let’s turn doubts into breakthroughs and build a business that serves your life, rather than the other way around.
